Christmas Thoughts
Kay, Pat, and I went out for coffee last night. We were talking about the upcoming Christmas season and the challenge of our current economy, especially with the number of family members who are currently full time students. Our thoughts were along the lines of not having our usual gift exchange among the senior and young adult generations. We were still thinking gifts for the kids (Ruth on down). We would like to celebrate in a meaningful way avoiding some of the emphasis on commercialism. What are your thoughts?

Celebrating 87 !
Dad enjoyed his birthday. He got some great gifts. Gretchen found a book online with all kinds of postcards from Camp Cambell in Kentucky, and he looks at that every day. Of course a picture of Liam and Great Grandpa together was a big hit too. After Mass on his birthday, they surprised him with a cake and a little party!

Fun in Indy
We had some visitors today. My mom, Jennifer, Gretchen, and Kayden all took a trip down to Indy. We had a lot of fun, here are some pictures of everyone playing at the park.
The kids got very wet running through some water fountains so you can see Alyssa sporting the cool new trend in kids clothing - it's called "The Daddy Shirt"

WV Update
Hello! I hope everyone is setteling in to the whole new school year. Drew started back Wednesday and is still working an average of 32 hours a week at a home for troubled youth. We are very busy! But we have found a great babysitter for Liam, and I'm really looking forward to my 3 month vacation when Arden is born. We have got most of his room ready for him and are waiting for a bed set that we won off ebay. It is so cute and it has the colors I had used for Liam's room along with the elephants! Liam enjoyed going thru all of his old clothes, he would say, "Dats cute, my wear it!" and then attempt to put it on. Every once in a while he would get his hand thru and arm hole and say, "Look, it fits!" I think I should really work on teaching him that "cute" isn't a word for a little boy to use alot:) Other than waiting 10 more weeks for Arden to be born, we don't have much on our agenda. I will keep you updated on his arrival, so far it has been a pretty boring pregnancy. I'm very excited for fall to get here, it is beautifull in West Virginia during the fall. Anyone is welcome to come visit our beautiful fall:) We miss you all and can't wait to see you at Christmas.
