A Tea Party

Kay, Pat, and I got together for the first time in quite a while. It was so much fun. They even tried one of my healthy lasagna recipes. Sisters are great!

Fathers' Day

Gretchen painted a plaque in ceramic class for Grandpa.
Jennifer spiffed up Grandpa's front garden so it looked very nice for Fathers' Day.

Baby Update

Kimi is scheduled to be induced on Friday morning. Everyone is very excited, but no one as much as Kimi. This pregnancy has been very painful for her. I will post pictures as soon as I can, probably Friday night.

Painting Party

This past weekend we had a paiting party and a cookout. After painting Shane cooked out and we relaxed with family. Riley and Kayden even volunteered their time because, in Riley's words, "i just really want to help you guys out". They are growing up so fast. The painting is not done but we made progress. Also pictured are Dad and Kayden practicing using the Digger, Riley taking Shane for a 4-wheeler ride and Kayden and Riley posing by their word art.

Big Words

It must be the teacher in me, but I always enjoy listening to kids when they are first attempting to use words that are new to them. That said.......Riley and Kayden were over visiting Grandma today. They were playing with a couple of USA flags mounted on two foot long sticks. We had reminded them several times not to put the flags on the floor.....how that was disrespectful. I was in the other room when I heard Kayden say, "Let's fight." Next I heard Riley say, "No we can't fight with the flags, that would be....... disruptive."

School's Out

If you look closely you may be able to see two of my second graders waving from the back window on the left. I still have some organizing to do in my classroom. But it goes so much faster once the kids are gone!
I'm working on organizing a Benson Family get together this summer. Hopefully, the whole family can be there. How does July 5th sound?
