Congratulations to the Grads!

Kayden's Party

Kayden had a great 6th birthday. He had a ben 10 cake and these were 2 of his favorite presents from the new movie wolverine. All the kids wanted to play with them. They also played with the slip-n-slide, water guns, and rode the horse. After the party everyone needed a NAP!!

Kayden's 6th Birthday Party

Kayden will be turning 6 soon! He is celebrating his birthday on Sunday May 24th at 1:00. There will be lots to do. Kayden has picked out the menu of hamburgers, chips, Grandma's fruit salad, Jennifer's special punch and macaroni and cheese. Please come and enjoy a fun party.

Graduation Celebration

We will celebrate Elisabeth's high school graduation on Monday, May 25, at our house around noon. All are invited.

School's Out

School is out for me, Elisabeth, and Esther! Esther is a now a senior at IUSB working on a degree in psychology then a masters in counseling. Elisabeth completed her first year of college. I am half way through nursing school, with two semesters left. What a busy school year it was! (Whitney - was pharmacology as challenging for you as it was for me?) Ruth is nearing the end of her first year of high school at Edwardsburg. She has done amazingly well. The only thing she doesn't like is getting up early in the morning, but she has managed. She especially enjoys choir and has a concert this Sunday with a Beatles medley. She auditioned and will be in women's choir next year. After being unemployed for almost 10 months, Bill trained to drive semi's and is now driving for a busline - Royal Excursions. He called this afternoon to tell me that he was on I-94 (well actually on the side of the road) with a flat tire on the bus, which was loaded with elementary kids and their sponsors.

Since this was officially Elisabeth's last year of high school and first year of college all rolled into one, we are going to plan a family gathering to celebrate the completion of her home school education. I will post the date when we know for sure.

Birthdays

Since Mom & Aunt Kay both have birthdays in April we had a small birthday party for them this weekend. Gretchen, Shane, Kimi, and I made dinner and birthday cakes for them. We all had a good time! Riley & Kayden called and sang Happy Birthday to Aunt Kay before they got on the bus thursday. Also later on in the day Alyssa & Gavin called to wish her happy birthday too!
